Fashion festival fever is back in Ottawa this week, and the local element is sharing centre stage with Canada-wide talent.

Fashion Cures à la Mode—a four-day event in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada—begins Wednesday night at St. John's Anglican Church (154 Somerset West) and includes an exhibition of fashion photography featuring several Ottawa-based shutterbugs (five are represented in this post).

But the photo exhibition is just one aspect of this busy festival. The 19 runway shows scheduled will include local designs from Jefferson Sukhoo, Kania Couture, Rachel Sin, and a trio of grads from the Richard Robinson school: Rachel Baril, Maria Medeiros, and Khala Foster. Also planned are a silent auction, mini makeovers, a "stylish foodie event," a wardrobe audit shopping showcase, a spa beatuy party, as well as after parties held at The Loft, Arc the Hotel and Mambo Nuevo.
